Quilting and Sewing GALLERY

Here are some of the wonderful projects from the

B&J family of quilters and sewers.

Oh ya! Jean shows off her big (make that huge!) fluffy quilt. Beautiful on both the front and the back. It was a great challenge because of it's size and fluffiness (double batting), plus Jean stitched-in-the-ditch on her own home sewing machine. This beautiful present (for someone else!) was several years in the making - Great job!

July Kids Camp 2011 was a great success. Eight participants sewed their way to some great accessories like pillows and machine covers. Most of the kids were new to sewing and everyone did a fantastic job. B& J Sewing provided the sewing machines for those that didn't have their own so come join us next year even if you don't have your own machine! It's a great way to spend a couple of days on summer break.

Check out these two quilts and the jacket by Susan. Look incredible? That's because they ARE incredible. Susan pieced, quilted, and embroidered these beautiful quilts and made the jacket on her new Designer Ruby.  We're not sure how many hours are in the quilt on the left but in addition to working on it for months day and night at home, Susan spent every Wednesday and Saturday sew (see CLASS page) working on it.  Check out the back of the quilt where Susan did some embroidery using a contrasting color on the chocolate brown. Susan made her jacket for a family vacation. Susan is a new quilter (less than a year) -- GO Susan!!   If you always wanted to try quilting your own creations, Susan proves it can be done on your hand sewing machine. All material from B&J sewing.

This is Carol's second quilt using this pattern. And boy -- is it a beauty!! Carol used her Designer SE to piece and embroiders the blocks. She made pillow shams (see last picture) with the left-over material. This is an original sham pattern design with a lot of help from Barb. Check out the close-ups. Carol's first quilt using this pattern was a red, white, and blue and just as stunning!  Quilting by Barb. Material, embroidery pattern, and book (with pattern) available from B&J Sewing.

Lynn made this quilt for the new bride and groom. Well-wishers used permanent marker to write messages on fabric squares. Lynn assembled and sewed the pieces into blocks and then added block borders and sashing. Instead of quilting, Lynn tied the quilt layers. Looks great Lynn!
